As a non-US citizen I don’t have experience as a player, I don’t have access to a local college or high school team to acquire knowledge. I rely solely on independent research. JT (The QB School) has been my primary source of filter free gridiron knowledge. The no punches pulled honesty on the Youtube channel led me to Patreon. The depth of the conversation on Patreon inspired me to dig even deeper. I am enrolled in the “How to Beat Every Coverage” course and the “Master Pass Protection: A QB Lens” course and both are amazing! I’ve watched many of the videos multiple times and learn something new every time.

The QB school is the perfect way to continue scratching my football itch. I played wideout, running back, and even quarterback at the NAIA level. I’ve covered Big 12 football independently as part of small platforms and have even contributed to Bleacher Report. I find myself learning more every time I watch a new breakdown or concepts video. Even as a former player, my thirst for football knowledge persists and I’m glad your platform and channel exist. I greatly appreciate the content you produce and look forward to more of it.
Joe Brasier
JT’s video breakdowns are the best on the web. Been a Patreon subscriber for 2-3 years now and will continue to be one. I think he has the most fair and unbiased analysis I’ve seen amongst all the popular creators doing similar breakdowns. He uses high quality game film and draws on his own experiences in a way that isn’t beating his chest or stroking his own ego. He’s one of the few guys I’ve seen who openly admits he’s “not in the room with the team, so it’s hard to say how they are being coached to run the play” in question. Talking heads and attention-seeking creators will jump to conclusions to fire off hot takes (or god forbid screenshot analysis). JT adds layers of nuance that I really respect, and it’s just objective film review from someone who’s done it at a high level.

JT and the QB School really took my understanding of offensive concepts and strategy to the next level. The YouTube channel and the Patreon exclusive videos are one thing, but the courses that are offered really put you back in the classroom and force you to break the game down. It’s helped me sharpen my knowledge, and I apply the principles I’ve learned everyday as a varsity WR coach. The QB School is going to eventually get me to an offensive coordinator position. Would highly recommend for anyone looking to improve QB play or just understand high level football from a QB’s lens.

As someone who has never played a down of competitive football in my life, but now covers it for a living as a freelance sports journalist, I cannot recommend The QB School enough to anyone who loves football.
Despite not playing, I’ve been just as much a fan as anyone else, and have learned so much from JT about the game that I never knew before. Prior to discovering The QB School, I didn’t know what Cover 1, 2, 3, or 4 was, but now I recognize it instantly in every game that I watch or cover.
JT provides a great resource for coaches, players, and fans to gain a better understanding of the game of football.

I have been an avid college and NFL football fan since attending University of Florida and recently I was inspired to start my own podcast covering both college and NFL. My channel is only a year old and very small but I love doing the shows. Even though I only played football at the high school level, the QB school, and specifically the Patreon community has given me the confidence to put myself out there on camera and comment on football.
The QB School is my go to resource for educating myself on how to really see and understand what is going on from play to play. The Patreon community takes it to another level as we can request reviews of players we really want to know about. JT is an outstanding educator, the videos are easy to understand and entertaining even when he’s covering advanced concepts. I’ve also invested in one of JT’s courses on how to beat every coverage, I feel I have a much better understanding of what is actually going on when I’m watching a game. I can say without a doubt I’m a better podcaster, a much more knowledgeable fan, and simply have more fun watching football with the education I’m getting from the QB school. For me this is the gold standard if you want to up your football knowledge, understanding and enjoyment of the game.
Preston Parenti
I really do love the QB school man, personally it satisfies my football itch while at work. There’s nothing better than listening to film break down during my day to day. My favorite part of the break down is typically the analysis of run blocking schemes. Gets me fired up.

Time is precious. I own a successful business while also pursuing my passion of coaching QBs with Elite11 and being a QB/Asst OC for a high school in Georgia. I’ve been coaching QBs for 33 years. I don’t have time for the talking heads, the opinions, the trolls, or the social media games. I don’t scroll or randomly swipe for my information/entertainment. I watch film. I watch football. To learn. The QB School with JT is one of the best places for in-depth, knowledgeable football information. He doesn’t do it for the Likes, Shares, or public praise. He does it to educate the football lover – and more specifically, the ones who appreciate mastery-level QB play. It surprises me that a network or streaming service (hear me Youtube/Amazon?) has not picked up JT to do his breakdowns because he makes the complex simple while keeping it real. Also, if you haven’t gone through his X’s and O’s series, you are missing out on getting a doctorate in football explained so well an 8th grader could understand it. Thank you JT for all your time, effort, energy, and experience!

The QB School has been a true game-changer in the world of quarterback analysis and football education. Today’s fans are smarter and more eager than ever to understand the deeper nuances of the game, and JT has mastered the art of meeting that demand. He strikes the perfect balance—breaking down high-level schemes and concepts while keeping the content approachable for fans at every stage of understanding.
What sets him apart is his honesty. JT delivers his perspective clearly and unapologetically, without pandering to specific fan bases. At the same time, he acknowledges his own biases and limitations, which only adds to his credibility.
Personally, his videos have transformed the way I see quarterback play and even expanded my grasp of run-game and offensive line concepts. The QB School is simply an invaluable resource for anyone who wants to truly understand the complexities of football.
Hussaini Babale
I came across The QB School online, and it has been an excellent resource for me. The breakdowns and teaching style make the game easier to understand, even for someone outside of the U.S. football system. It has helped me improve how I see the game and how I think about strategy and decision-making on the field. The lessons are clear, practical, and inspiring, and I would recommend The QB School to anyone who wants to deepen their knowledge of football.
Kevin Rivas
I have been a big fan and supporter of the channel for a long time. I’ve been a Patreon member for a minute. Current coach and have been coaching since 1999 in all levels but for the last 20 years or so I’ve been coaching in youth, you have helped me so much with quarterback nuance and details. Coaching QBs has been one of my weak links. I have used your points, like dovetail, being on time and rhythm, stepping up into the pocket all that stuff to install with my qbs. Even have installed duo from your channel. And, I also bought a course from you.
Griffin Bodow
“I highly recommend the QBSPC, if you have any interest in developing a deeper understanding and appreciation of what QBs are doing on Saturdays and Sundays. JT does a great job of separating the media’s ‘hype’ and what is actually showing up on game film. His breakdowns are easy to follow and I really like that he provides a nuanced, in-depth analysis.”
Brandon Fish
Of all the creators who break down football film, JT O’Sullivan’s The QB School is the best. It’s the only channel I’ve ever felt compelled to pay for, and it’s a must-have during the NFL season. Spending the money for the full year is the best value there is if you want to increase your football IQ. As a former NFL quarterback, he mostly focuses on the QB, but he also breaks down the run game, blocking, and how a defense’s scheme dictates the offense’s response. He breaks down complex concepts into easy-to-digest nuggets for everyone from casual fans to aspiring players. JT’s presentation style is straightforward, (mostly) unbiased, and at times humorous. His smooth, mellow baritone is easy to listen to while he articulates clearly and concisely.
T’rel Taylor
The QB School Patreon has definitely earned this testimonial, but a giveaway for incentive doesn’t hurt! This is genuinely some of my favorite content to watch, the film breakdown is always unbiased and interesting. I have learned so much more about the ins and outs of football at a high level by watching this channel, and I love the glimpses of O-Line School and Wide Receiver School that we get every once in a while that really emphasize the importance of how much the team impacts quarterback play.
Keep up the good work, as long as you are putting out content you got at least one viewer for life!
Max Ozkural
Being a QB School Patreon member has completely changed the way I see the game. JT makes the complex QB concepts simple, with the perfect mix of detail, humor, and those bonus rants—”this isn’t run game school”—which are honestly some of my favorites. It’s the best resource out there if you want to actually learn football like a quarterback.
John Spiro
I am the degenerate type that started only watching bears videos but moved on to watching all your breakdowns to get the most out of your content to just let me understand the game I love more.
Brandon Harris
Let me first say, I’ll be more than happy to be first in line in the sicko community because this has been my jam from the start.
As someone who loves the game of football, I’ve always believed if you’re going to talk about something, you must speak about it intelligently. Everyone in the business is providing opinions on these games/players based on the live broadcast. Yet that’s never been enough to understand why this play didn’t work, at least for me.
Quarterback School provides an opportunity to understand the “WHY” behind it all. Unfortunately, most fans don’t take advantage of it.
If your someone looking to enhance your football experience, trying to understand the game from the players perspective is key. To accomplish this, you have to see the game through the same lenses as the players. That means the all 22 film breakdown becomes crucial.
Even then, most won’t understand what they’re looking at. Whether it’s concepts, play calls, protections, drops, sloppy routes, hot reads, footwork, you name. It’s all covered by someone who played the game at the highest level. It’s an education that provides the serious fan a unique opportunity to fully understand and digest the actual game. All the real stuff that’s impossible to process on the live feed. Without this or something like it, you only know what someone tells you, and if they aren’t tuned in to the Quarterback School, they gone mess around and find out!
Needless to say, I’m hooked, and I wish I could participate to an even greater degree. By far, this is the best content for this subject matter that’s available to the public. Anyone who has spent any time searching knows this is already true, and I’m about ready to call it a fact.
In conclusion, for the casual fan who just wants to spend 3 hours watching their favorite team on a Sunday, the broadcast definitely covers it. For the serious fan who truly wants to understand the game or already does, this is where it’s at!
Sign up for the sicko alerts and come get some!
Let’s go!!

I don’t remember exactly how I found your channel, but it was likely via your Trey Lance, Mac Jones, Zach Wilson breakdowns in ’21 when the 49ers traded for the 3rd overall pick, or maybe it was the tutorials about learning about defensive breakdowns just because I love having a greater understanding. As it turns out Brock Purdy ended up being the guy I should have been watching. I watch every Purdy breakdown, but enjoy the content so much that I watch a ton of other QBs too.
David Allabaugh
The QB School has opened up a whole new world to not just my knowledge, but how I watch the game. I thought I knew a decent amount about the game but found out how much more there is to it. It’s cool watching a game with my friends and seeing the little nuances and details that make it like a game within the game that I’d never notice without the QB school and the QBSPC.
Ricky Justiniano
I was a practice squad defensive lineman in college and I always thought I had a great understanding of football, I was never the most athletic player but I was smart and that’s how I made it as far as I did. I always wanted to know more about offensive football and your videos were like a goldmine to me. Getting to learn route combos and protections have really increased my football knowledge and my fun I watch during the games. My wife doesn’t love how much I talk about every time I see Stafford hit a bounce concept but it brings me immense joy. I have been trying to take your teachings and help out some kids in my neighborhood who are starting high school and junior high football and they are so locked in on learning. So thank you for your content, I watch every video and you explain in a way that’s it’s stupid simple which is good for a former lineman like me.
Aaron Krepel
I’ve always wanted to know more when it came to football. It wasn’t enough to see a 30 yard completion and say, “That was a great throw.” I wanted to know the coverage, the route, the depth, the timing…what made it all work.
I first found JT on YouTube, pulling out highlights from games and giving his inside knowledge on the good, the bad and (sometimes) the ugly. After a while, I wanted more, and moved over to the Patreon channel. While admittedly, it took me a minute to get used to watching a full game in all-22, having a former NFL QB lead me through it made it a much more enjoyable experience. And that’s where JT stands out. It’s not just, “Here’s counter for a 4 yard gain.” It’s entertaining. It’s noticing the guy in the stands drop his beer. It’s spotting the coach fall over as he runs the sideline. It’s certainly football, but its injected with an element of fun.
From there, I’ve also sampled the courses. Now, these might not be for everyone, but if you’re coaching, they’re an invaluable tool. I took the pass pro course. I’ve never played O-line, but can I now sit in a room and have a rational conversation with our coach about what we want? Hell yes.
What I like about JT over other sources out there is it’s never his way or the highway. There’s always a caveat. There’s an element of, “I could be wrong, but…” But that’s always countered by the fact that he’s played in the league, under some top coaches and knows his shit. He has preferences, sure. But that’s what they are, and you’re welcome to have your own opinion on stuff.
To put it in perspective, JT makes up around 90% of my football studies. Earlier this year I stepped into my first locker room as a 36 year old, Freshman coach, from England, having never played a competitive snap. I can hold my own in conversation, add meaningful and insightful information for our players, and am helping design a balanced offense that is easy enough for a Freshman to learn, while complex enough to be effective on the field.
Would I recommend The QB School to anyone else? 1,000% yes.
Chris D
The QB School Channel and Patreon are great. JT is a knowledgeable and thoughtful guy who’s willing to explain and defend his positions. I appreciate the Xs and Os discussion. I’m a numbers guy myself, while I fashion myself something of a jock these days I haven’t competed anywhere close to the level that JT has but I do have a degree in math and I used to teach calculus. I understand the Math side of things pretty well but not the “Football” side of things. JT has the “football” discussion from a thoughtful perspective that appeals to outsiders such as myself.
Isaiah Rice
Over the past 3 years your youtube and Patreon content has truly helped develop and expand my knowledge of the game! As a 24 year old coach that didn’t play football at the collegiate or pro level, having your content as another source for learning the deeper parts of football’s X’s and O’s truly makes a huge impact for coaches like me.
Rhett Coblentz
I love watching The QB School videos because they make football understandable. I didn’t play football growing up, so my understanding of x’s and o’s is limited. I like to think I know the game pretty well, but watching The QB School takes my understanding to a new level.
The breakdowns are detailed but not difficult to understand. JT does a great job simplifying the processes, decision making, and play call on every breakdown. His knowledge of the game is truly valuable and we’re fortunate that he shares it with us on a regular basis.
Tim Swift
I’ve the learned a ton about the QB position since I started following you. I’m a scout and I cover HS football and it’s helped me learn how to watch young QB’s. I look forward to another season of work.
Alex Kuhn
There is no better football film analyst in this Space than JT. Though he always talks about seeing the game from a Quarterback’s perspective, he’s anlways able to break down every position on the field with expertise. I not only feel myself learning something each time I watch a new video but I feel myself applying what I’ve learned into understanding each game I watch at a higher level. If you want someone who can teach you how to watch film, look no further than The QB School. $54 a year for this content is the biggest steal of any content subscription I have.
Mike LoCoco
Whether you’re a serious student of the game, or just someone looking to watch some entertaining high caliber analysis, there’s not a better or more approachable source of knowledge on modern QB play and offensive design than JT O’Sullivan and QB School. Funny, fun, and smart, you’ll learn something every time you watch. Highly recommend for all fans of football.
Dillon Hayes
Big fan of the channel/patreon. I’ve been following for around 2 years now. I’ve always loved football but wasn’t good enough to play D1. I went to college as a normal undergrad. Ended up missing the game so much that I started eating up all the content I could get online. I took your How to Beat Every Coverage course and decided I had to do something with it. Fast forward around 1.5 years and I’m an assistant to my school’s tight end coach, working a similar role to a GA (as an undergrad student). Your course equipped me with a great base of knowledge to learn our offense well and I can’t thank you enough. I attached my headshot below. Normally I wouldn’t participate in something like this but I’m a big fan and thought you would appreciate the story.

The QB School is one of, if not the most informative channels you will find on the internet. Whether you are on the free tier on YouTube, or a paid Patreon member, JT always brings quality content. You will come away smarter from JT’s insights into the game of football and how to play quarterback. His content has given me the confidence to start my own channel breaking down film, and has been a great resource for me throughout my journey of learning the nuances of the game.
Joseph Watts
The QB school is easily my favorite football content creator. I can honestly say that it changes the way I watch football. The analyses given are always top notch and fair to the quarterback and team. After watching the youtube videos, I found myself wanting more and I subscribed to the patreon. This is now my third year as a patreon subscriber, and I love it. I get deep dives into football games and feel like I have a much better understanding of how scheme, personnel, pass protection, and coaching contribute to QB performance. If you’re a football sicko, this might be the channel for you. Fair warning, you may find yourself rolling your eyes every time you see the play ‘Hank’ but the quality perspective is worth it.
Michael Delatore
The QB school breakdown of game film is very informative and educational. It’s changes how I watched the game.
Justin Nash ‘NashTalksTexas’
Massive fan of JT O’Sullivan and his QB School analysis. Has kept me informed of the Texas QB play to a higher level than just watching the broadcast would allow. I highly recommend subscribing.
John H
The QB School Patreon is a game changer. As someone who grew up watching football, but never playing, it’s the best way to learn the X’s and O’s and to understand the game on a deeper level. The full game breakdowns are amazing and the highlight of my week.
Paul Sheehan
Love the channel and the Patreon community. Actual expertise, clearly communicated in a space that’s usually riddled with takes and ego.
Nate L
Currently 22, just got into coaching varsity High School football in the Waukesha Wisconsin area. I’ve been digging your content for several years at this point, more precisely, the QBSPC.
Initially joined for the college prospect videos, however, as time progressed I became more and more infatuated with your overall ability to dissect offensive schemes as a whole and get way in the weeds with multiple things whether it be the run game, discussing why you hate a receivers release vs certain leverage on a given route, route progressions, use of personnel, pointing out random people in the scoreboard shots, or just the dry sense of humor and witty phrases you have for certain units, players coaches etc.Currently 22, just got into coaching varsity High School football in the Waukesha Wisconsin area. I’ve been digging your content for several years at this point, more precisely, the QBSPC.
There’s many different nuances to the game that I have taken away from your content. Love nerding out over this game and this channel is crack for me.
Evan Allouche
The QB School is much more than just a QB centric youtube channel, it’s the highest level of X&O and technique talk I’ve come across online. JT goes into depth on everything from QB reads, technique, pass protection, defensive coverages and often times Run game schematics, at a level that really allows you do develop a high level of understanding of NFL and college ball.
Alan Kroll
I became a Packer fan when Vince Lombardi was the coach, Bart Starr was the quarterback, Ray Nitschke, Willie Wood, and a lot of other great Packers made Sundays on the farm exciting. It was an escape from a lot of hard work, and it brought the family together around the TV to celebrate our favorite team.
Back at that time there wasn’t the wealth of information available about the game, and there weren’t people like J. T. O’Sullivan breaking down the game into simple to understand terms. It’s great that this generation of young football fans has you as a resource to help them understand the game at a deeper level. Keep up the good work!
Jordan Miller
As someone who grew up casually watching football and never ending up playing the sport, I never had a deep understanding for the game itself beyond the basic rules, if that makes sense. Fast forward to nowadays, I am always interested in learning more about the game on a deeper level, whether that is simply offensive/defensive schemes or the general “chess match” with adapting your offensive play to match up well against the defense. When it comes to your content, your analysis of quarterback games is unmatched in the sense of the wealth of information you provide to each play. The combination of providing an unbiased point of view of how the quarterback is playing, while using the general playcalling and other players on the field to provide the “entire” picture with detailed explanation is what makes JTO stand out. He has also sparked my appreciation and fascination behind anticipation, one of the most important skills a quarterback could have.
David Miller
The QB School is a must watch if you want to take your Football interest from “average Joe fanboy” to full on “Sicko”! JTO is my (earmuffs) f*ckin’ guy, just like Cole Kmet (#85) is “ya boy”!
Miss the QB School and miss out!
And those of us in the UK have some serious catching up to do.
Miss the QB School and miss out!
